Motorola, Inc. announced a new series of Talkabout two-way radios featuring five game call tones and the Realtree all-purpose APG camouflage pattern. The new T9650R Camouflage series of two-way radios are specifically designed for hunters with convenient new feature sets and accessories to provide a compact communication solution for any hunting adventure.

“Reliable communication tools are vital to hunters and serious outdoor enthusiasts not only for peace of mind but also to keep in touch with base camp and monitor weather conditions,” said Marjon De Groot, Director of Marketing for Giant International, a Motorola distribution ally. “The Motorola T9650R Camouflage series of two-way radios provide the best of two-way reliability with an array of feature sets that will enhance the hunting experience, making it more productive and enjoyable.”

In remote areas, two-way radios can be used to call for help or to alert fellow hunters of pending danger. With the new Talkabout T9650RCAMO radios, hunters can identify their buddies with five unique game call tones including duck, turkey, elk, goose and coyote. And, when hands-free communication is imperative, the iVOX speech-activated feature allows hunters to communicate without having to remove the radio from the belt clip.

Hunters will also appreciate the VibraCall feature, which silently alerts them to incoming transmissions by vibrating. Used in conjunction with the included earpiece and boom microphone, users can communicate without disturbing wildlife and still enjoy great sound quality in noisy environments. The T9650RCAMO also features seven weather channels and four marine channels.

With a range of up to 28 miles (45 kms), the compact T9650RCAMO is built to handle a variety of outdoor recreational activities and is the perfect communication device for remote areas not covered by cell phones. The radios are also equipped with Motorola’s PTT power boost feature. When activated, this feature extends the transmission range by increasing the transmitter power output — while helping to save battery life when no power boost is necessary.

The T9650RCAMO offers convenient charging options including a car charger for the off-road journey to the hunt, as well as a dual desktop charger with the option of using 3 AA batteries or rechargeable NiMH battery packs.

The Motorola Talkabout T9650RCAMO radios have a recommended retail price of $119 per pair and include two ear pieces with boom microphone and car charger.
