Cyprus industrial production up 4.3% y/y in November

Industrial production in Cyprus continued its good pace in November, rising by 4.3% over November 2006, compared with an increase of 5.9% in October.

Manufacturing rose by 4.1%, led by electrical and optical equipment (up 20%), chemicals and related (11.2%) and transport equipment (11.2%).

Output in the comparatively smaller mining sector rose by 13.3%, while output in electricity, gas and water rose by 3.8%.

For the first 11 months of the year, the index of industrial production rose by 3.2%, manufacturing rose by 3.05, mining and quarrying by 8.2% and electricity, gas and water by 3.2%.
