Panda Security enters alliance with Telmex to protect over 2 mln users

Panda Security has signed a deal with Telmex –the leading telecommunications company in Latin America- to provide almost 2.4 million broadband users with the ‘Prodigy Antivirus’ security solution.

Thanks to this deal, Telmex users will benefit from the excellent protection offered by ‘Prodigy Antivirus’ developed by Panda Security. This solution stands out for its ease-of-use and offers complete protection against known and unknown Internet threats with minimal resource consumption.

According to Jorge Dinares, CEO of Panda Security, “this agreement with Telmex, allows us to bring the security and state-of-the-art technology of our solutions closer to millions of users worldwide and help make the Internet safer”.

Panda Security has also recently launched its 2008 product line, comprising Panda Antivirus 2008, Panda Antivirus+Firewall 2008 and Panda Internet Security 2008. The new solutions have a far greater detection and disinfection capacity as they are based on the new security model, Megadetection, allowing them to detect and disinfect more than one million threats.
