Cyprus outward tourism up by 24.6% y/y in September

The Statistical Service CYSTAT has reported that on the basis of the results of the Passengers’ Survey, 105,173 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in September 2007, compared with 84,429 in the corresponding month last year, recording an increase of 24.6%.

In September 2007 there was an increase of 24.0% on the trips of residents to Greece (from 34,089 in September 2006 to 42,259 in September 2007).

There was a 42.5% increase to the United Kingdom (from 16.225 in September 2006 to 23.120 in September 2007) and a 16.8% increase to Russia (from 5,393 to 6,299 this year).
