Maravilhosa, the Limassol-based consultancy helping organisations build high-performing teams, is hosting its second brainstorming series, “I am passionate and creative!”, to review initiatives undertaken by working groups and to explore new avenues of identifying talent in business.

Around 70 participants in 10 initiatives launched by Maravilhosa at the first session held at the Cyprus Marine Club in May have been actively brainstorming these past months.

Their progress and actions will be announced at 6 pm on December 3, at the Poseidonia Beach Hotel, Limassol, followed by a networking cocktail reception.

The 10 initiatives were: mentoring and professional development; gaps between our leaders’ expectations and our young professionals; blue tank; connectivity of Cyprus with the outside world; attract cruise shipping to Cyprus; water taxi and speed boat connections between cities; equal opportunities to age, gender and diversity; anti-bribery training; coastal plastic waste management; and, inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace.

Participants from various industries and generations were invited by Maravilhosa founder Muriel Matta to choose an initiative they are passionate about, get together and create action plans, accordingly, resulting in brainstorming and team building.

The event is a platform for thoughts, polls and surveys, offering solutions and ideas that will benefit workplaces in various industries and the community.

This second session of the brainstorming series is open to all industries and generations, with the initiatives’ members being professionals from various industries, mainly shipping.

Key experts and high-profile officials, involved in supporting and enabling those initiatives, have been invited to attend the event and answer questions from the audience, within the brainstorming context.

“The brainstorming activity shall help people develop their professional life, personal growth and social skills, by interacting with professionals from different backgrounds and experiences,” explained Muriel Matta.

“Discussions will empower participants to gather different opinions. It will enable a debate between people who share various perceptions about a topic, while they are all interested to take inspiring actions accordingly,” she added.

Registrations are online at www.maravilhosa.net group registrations also available for companies.

Muriel Matta is an HR advisor, coach, trainer and facilitator, active in developing innovative concepts and solutions, and connecting professionals through her panel discussions, brainstorming sessions and workshops.

Cyprus Marine Club is the event’s major supporter and several of its members are actively involved in the initiatives.

The event is sponsored by Pivotal Step (Gold sponsor), Cruise Limassol, Hellenic Bank Shipping, Frederick University, Celestyal Cruises, Lapwings Maritime Services, Cyprus Maritime Academy and Puzzle Group (Bronze sponsors).
