CYPRUS: New Car sales drop 12.5% in first five months

Total car sales observed a drop of 8.6% year-on-year in the five-month period of January – May, declining to 19,682 from 21,526 in the same period of 2018.

 According to official data, saloon car sales marked a reduction of 10.4% dipping to 16,078 from 17,947 in January-May last year.

 New car sales in the first five months amounted to 7,314 recording a reduction of 12.5% compared to 8,363 last year, whereas used car sales dropped 6% to 12,368 from 13,163.

 In May alone, total car sales decreased 5.40% to 4,340 from 4,588 in May of last year.
