TRAVEL: Steady passenger growth recorded at Cyprus airports in Q1 2019

In line with an increase in tourist arrivals this year, Cyprus airports have also seen passenger traffic improve 4.74% in the first three months of 2019.


Passenger traffic at Paphos and Larnaca airports continued on an upward curve, according to operator Hermes Airports.

In Q1 2019 passenger traffic reached 1.39 million compared to 1.33 million passengers in the same period last year.

Last year a record 10.93 million travellers passed through the island’s airports – 8 million went through Larnaca and 2.87 million chose Paphos airport.

And airport traffic in 2018 was up 6.6% on the year before when 10.2 million people went through the two Republic of Cyprus airports.
