CYPRUS: Nicosia area gets a green makeover

Cyfield Group of companies has completed work on the beautification and landscaping project of the area surrounding the Archigramatia area of central Nicosia.


The project, which was delivered on 6 December, included the construction of 586 parking spaces, a park, walkways, a cycle lane, connection with the Pedieos River Linear Park and maintenance of the existing access road to Lord Byron Avenue.

The project covered an area of 29,500 sqm divided in three sub-areas which include:
Area A and B – Configuration of a parking space for Interior Ministry employees.
Area C – Green space / park: an area of 5,700 sqm was planted with vegetation while pedestrian walkways were created.

An area was dedicated for the recreation and exercise for the disabled. The outdoor gym includes exercise machines and the floor was made from special stabilized soil (kourasanit).

Area C – Road / Pavements / Cycle lane: The new road (6m width) connecting the Demosthenis Severis Avenue with Lord Byron Avenue includes pavements (2.50m wide) and a bicycle lane (1.50m wide) connected to the park of the Pedieos river.
