Larnaca-based Cyprus Airways will offer extra flights during the Christmas season to Heraklion and Beirut.

During the period 21 December to 7 January 2019, the airline will operate flights to Heraklion, Crete every Monday and Friday while adding three extra flights to Beirut, on 27 & 29 December and 1 January 2019.

“The Christmas Countdown starts with less than two months to go and we wanted to offer our customers the option to travel to beautiful Crete for their holidays as well as to satisfy the increased demand during this time of the year for flights to Beirut, a very popular destination for ski fans, ideal for family holidays,” said Natalia Popova, Chief Commercial Officer of Cyprus Airways.

Passengers can book their flights through cyprusairways.com, Cyprus Airways Call Centre (toll free 8000 8111 or international on +357 24000053) or through their travel agent.

Cyprus Airways offers two categories of fares, Basic and Flex. The Flex offers additional services, such as 23kg baggage allowance, seat selection etc, giving customers the option to customize their travel experience.

In July 2016, Charlie Airlines Ltd, a Cyprus registered company, won a tender competition for the right to use the trademark bankrupt state-run Cyprus Airways for a decade. The company launched flights in June 2017.

Cyprus Airways operates flights to Europe, Russia and Middle East. All Cyprus Airways flights operate on modern Airbus A319 aircraft with a capacity of 144 Economy Class seats.

In October 2018, the company became a member of International Air Transport Association (IATA).

“The company’s long-term goal is to contribute in the increase of tourism in Cyprus, while at the same time broadening the horizon for local travellers,” said a statement.
