Emirates, the Dubai-based airline that has been flying to Cyprus since 1994, is returning to Larnaca for an ‘open day’ recruitment day and to meet candidates wishing to join its multinational cabin crew team.
Already employing 76 Cypriots on its workforce, the airline said it is “looking for both women and men to fill the new positions which have been created due to the continued growth of the airline, including the recent addition of new routes on the Emirates network as well as additional aircraft.”
The recruitment event will take place at 8am on Wednesday, August 29, at the Sentido Sandy Beach Hotel, on the Larnaka-Dekeleia Road.
In an announcement, the airline said its “cabin crew are offered an entire employment package, benefits such as a tax-free income, free shared accommodation in Dubai, free transport to/from work, medical and dental cover as well as exclusive discounts on shopping and leisure activities in Dubai. It also offers attractive concessional travel benefits for cabin crew as well as their families and friends, across the airline’s six continents-spanning network.”
Applicants should be at least 21 years old, high school graduates, fluent in English, have no visible tattoos have an arm reach of 212cm when standing on tiptoes and be “physically fit for this demanding role with a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI)”. As an indication, a basic monthly salary, Grade II working in Economy class, could start from AED 4260 a month (approx. €1,015/month), with flying pay of AED 58 (€13.83) an hour, for an average 80-100 hours a month, bringing the average monthly pay to AED 9,500 tax free (€2,115/$2,585/GBP 1,880).

“Applicants just need to drop in to the Open Day with an up-to-date CV in English and a recent photograph. Pre-registration is not required. Candidates will need to come prepared to spend the full day at the venue if required.
