CYPRUS: Property sales contracts reach 6-year high

The number of property sale contracts submitted to the Land Registry rose to the highest level in six years in March, as Paphos topped the figures with a 53% increase, while sale contracts were down in Nicosia and Larnaca.


 
The number of sale contracts submitted to the Lands and Surveys Department in March saw a 16% increase to 626 from 539 in March 2016. This was the highest level in the last six years.
The number of property transfers in March rose to 1,249 from 1,090 last March for 1,491 plots valued at EUR 453.1 mln.
