HEALTH: American Academy Nicosia offers open seminar on First Aid

The American Academy Nicosia presents an open lecture on the subject of “First Aid in Our Lives” in the context of the school’s Open Lecture Series of 2014-2015.

The seminar will be held at the auditorium of the school on Wednesday, 27 May 2015, from 7:30 until 9:00 pm, and is addressed to parents, teachers and other service providers.
The speakers of the lecture are Emergency First Response Instructors in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and will counsel on the basic procedures that need to be taken, at the scene of an incident, such as:
– Assessing the situation
– Offering emergency treatment while waiting for help to arrive
– Providing reliable information to healthcare professionals upon arrival

Michalis Athanasiou: EFR Instructor CPR / AED / First Aid Infant / Child / Adult

The event will be held in Greek language and is part of the American Academy Nicosia Open Lecture Series which aim to promote a balance of physical and emotional development for all students.
