AVIATION: Emirates appoints new Country Manager for Cyprus

Emirates has appointed Ms Asma Al Rahma as Country Manager for Cyprus. Ms Al Rahma will take on the position after three years as Country Manager for the airline in Oman.

In her new role, Ms Al Rahma will manage a team of 20 and will be responsible for growing Emirates’ business within Cyprus ensuring that Emirates remains the ideal airline choice for travel to Dubai and other eastern-bound destinations, such as China, India, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles and Australia.

“I look forward to working with the Emirates team in Cyprus and the wider Cypriot travel trade in realizing the potential of this exciting market. Having worked for Emirates for over three years, I am confident that my experience will prove a real asset to our business here,” said Ms Al Rahma.

A graduate from the United Arab Emirates’ Commercial Management Outstation Programme, her first appointment was in Kuwait as Emirates Sales Manager In October 2011 she was appointed Country Manager in Oman until November 2014.

Emirates aircraft lands twice daily in Larnaka all year round: in the morning the A330-200, offering First, Business and Economy Class seats arrives from Dubai. In the afternoon, Emirates operates a flight from Malta with its final destination being Dubai after a short stop in Larnaka.
