The Council of Ministers has reaffirmed its support to actions that will ensure that Pafos 2017 is a successful European Capital of Culture, with the total amount of €5,000,000.
The Cabinet decision came after a recommendation by the Ministry of Education and Culture, which consulted with ‘Pafos 2017’.
According to the decision, in 2015 the organisation will receive €1,350,000, in 2016 €2,000,000 and in 2017 €1,000,000.
‘Pafos 2017’ has already received €150,000 in 2013, while for 2014 it will receive a total of €500,000, the first amount now and the rest in September. The grant can be used to cover operational expenses and fund cultural programmes organised in the framework of the European Capital of Culture.
