Armenia award for EUC Rector from Cyprus

Andreas G. Orphanides, Rector of the European University of Cyprus (EUC) has been bestowed by the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia with its highest award, the Gold Medal of Honour, for his contribution in the field of education and science.
According to a press announcement, Armenia, Prof. Andreas Orphanides, President of EURASHE (European Association of Higher Education Institutions), was honoured by Dr. Armen Ashotyan, Minister of Education and Science, under the auspices of Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan during a ceremony that took place at Yerevan.
At the presentation of the Gold Medal, the Minister said that Prof. Orphanides was honoured for his significant contribution to the field of Education and Science, and for his support to modernisation of programs of universities of the Republic of Armenia.
