If you like the value deals from Primark and the Scandinavian designs of IKEA, then a new store opening in the heart of Nicosia could offer a combination of both.

The first Tiger store is about to open on the busy Ledra Street in Nicosia in early July, according to the NK Shacolas Group subsidiary ZACO Estates, that has signed a lease agreement for the former Peacocks property to become the 309th Tiger of the Danish retail giant.
The operator will be Tiger Stores Cyprus Ltd., which according to the business model developed by Zebra A/S in 20 countries, is a 50-50 joint venture between the Danish company and the local partner.
Copenhagen-based Zebra A/S is responsible for concept, goods and marketing, while the local partner is responsible for all operations and providing local know-how. The company emphasizes the fact that this is not a franchise and goods are not sold online.
All products in Tiger stores are priced at whole-euro prices and start from 1 euro with a maximum of 30 euros, or 30 pounds in the UK. The store network
www.tiger-stores.com has expanded across Europe and Japan and the product range includes Tiger Home, Tiger Office, Tiger Essentials, Tiger Kids, Tiger People and Tiger Music, with 200 new products added each month.
Tiger Music is part of Tiger, a variety chain with stores in most of Europe and in Japan that collaborate with all kinds of artists from all over the world and organise a series of live events. Profits are divided 50/50 between the artists and Tiger Music.
