Cyprus trade deficit down by €19.3 mn in January

The trade deficit of Cyprus recorded an annual decrease of €19.3 mn in January 2014.

Cyprus` Statistical Service said on Friday the trade deficit was €270.9mn in January 2014 compared to €290.2mn in the corresponding month of 2013.

It said total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) in January 2014 amounted to €381.7mn as compared to €410.1mn a year earlier.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States) in January 2014 were €110.8mn compared to €120.0mn in January 2013.
Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €61,4mn whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €49,4mn in January 2014.
