Global Entrepreneurship Week reach 140 countries including Cyprus

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) reach 140 countries – including Cyprus- with over 20,000 activities and 10 million participants. The first annual GEW Cyprus, themed «Game Changers, Generation WE» take place between 18-30 November in Athens and include a networking event in Nicosia.
GEW is the largest celebration worldwide of the entrepreneurial community, who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. GEW Cyprus hosted by Industry Disruptors – Game Changers (www.industrydisruptors.org ), a non-profit organisation promoting entrepreneurship with strong activation in an international community in Greece, South East Europe and East Med regions.
Entitled «Game Changers, Generation We» the scope of the GEW Cyprus campaign is to ignite an entrepreneurial community, that engages the nation to celebrate ideas, encourage startups, and unite as a nation to promote Cypriot ideas in a global world.
A «Game Changer» is a person (a.k.a. a visionary) who innovates an idea in a creative manner, and alters the way something is done or perceived. «Generation We» alludes to a generation that utilizes the web and social networking to give the power to the individual, equipping each person with the required digital and mental tools to become entrepreneurs and problem solvers, who embody the spirit to be globally responsible citizens.
Various events take place in the spirit of GEW, including events by Business & Professional Women, Limassol (BPW), Chrysalis Leap (Accelerator Program) and the Cypriot Enterprise Link (CEL).
