Half of the top prizes in this year’s Cyprus International Digital Photo Competition went to entries from Asia, with five from Europe and one photographer from Australia, Joseph Tam, winning the FIAP Gold Medal for his ‘Crazy Horse’.

The Cyprus Photographic Society has posted the top prizes winners on the competition’s website, www.cps-iodpc.com.cy , where the top 12 winners have been uploaded for public view.
In all, 642 photographers from 64 countries submitted a record 7036 photographs, which made the judging even hard this year, the sixth edition of the competition.
The winning entries and 24 other noteworthy photographs will be displayed at the Cyta theatre in Nicosia at 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 20, where the prizegiving ceremony will also take place.
Pavlos Paraskevas, Director of Cultural Services at the Ministry of Education will address the awards ceremony.
