President: Attempts to postpone exploitation of Cyprus hydrocarbon resources strengthen Turkish intransigence

In a written statement President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades pointed out that public statements attempting to postpone exploitation of energy resources of Cyprus’s Exclusive Economic Zone, strengthen Turkish intransigence and do not help at all the efforts for a Cyprus solution.

President Anastasiades also reiterates that “it composes a sovereign right of the Republic of Cyprus to exploit in any way the resources of its EEZ”.
