Cyprus wholesale turnover down 2.2% Q/Q in Oct-Dec

Cyprus was deep in recession even before the March crisis hit.
Turnover in the wholesale trade sector excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles dropped by 2.2% over the previous three-month period in October-December 2012.
For 2012 a whole turnover declined by 6.2%.
Meanwhile, turnover in the wholesale and retail trade sector including repair of motor vehicles rose marginally by 0.5% over the previous period in the fourth quarter.
However, for the year as a whole turnover in this broad sector fell to by 19.9% compared with the corresponding period of 2011.
