Cyprus building permits down 4.4% y/y in Jan-Nov

The number of building permits authorized by the municipal authorities and the district administration offices during December 2012 stood at 471.
The total value of these permits reached EUR 124.9 million and the total area 90.4 thousand square metres.
These building permits provide for the construction of 404 dwelling units.
In the period January – December 2012, 7,.172 building permits were issued, registering a decrease of 4.4% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
The total value of these permits decreased by 21.0% and the total area by 33.4%.
Τhe number of dwelling units recorded a decrease of 33.5%.
