Cyprus revenue from tourism increases by 15.7% in June

Revenue from tourism increased by 15.7% in June this year, compared to the corresponding month of 2011, on the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, published Monday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

According to the figures released, revenue from tourism reached 254.5 mn euro in June 2012 as compared to 220 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a 15.7% increase.

In June 2012, tourist arrivals reached 329,977 and increased by 9.7%, compared to 300,817 in June 2011.

In June this year, 127,747 tourists arrived from the United Kingdom, 80,145 from Russia, 19,404 from Sweden, 13,530 from Greece, 11,050 from Norway and 10,693 from Germany.
