Cyprus organized tourist workshop in Tehran

Cyprus Embassy to Iran and Cyprus Tourism Organization`s Middle East and Persian Gulf Office organized last Sunday a workshop in Tehran with the purpose of promoting Cyprus` tourist product.

An official press release issued today notes that a total of 70 tour operators as well as officials from the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Iranian Tourism and Craftsmanship Organisation participated in the workshop which received coverage from the Iranian media.

In his opening remarks, Cyprus Ambassador to Iran Andreas Ignatiou referred to the tourist relations between Cyprus and Iran, expressing his satisfaction for the increasing tourist flow from Iran towards Cyprus, vowing that the embassy will exert every effort for its further increase.

Cypriot Consul to Iran Demetris Assos outlined the visa granting procedure in Cyprus, while Vasilis Theocharides, Head of the CTO`s Middle East and Persian Gulf Office presented Cyprus advantages as a tourist destination.

During the ceremony Iranian tour operators had the opportunity to collect information on the various tourist destinations and the infrastructure of Cyprus.
