Cyprus tourism revenue climbs 6.9% in September

A good tourism season in terms of arrivals has also been reflected in the figures on revenue according to the Statistical Service’s Passenger Survey.
Revenue from tourism reached EUR 235.8 mln in September 2011 compared with EUR 220.5 mln in the corresponding month of the previous year, thus recording an increase of 6.9%. Tourism arrivals in the same period grew by 5.2%.
For the period January – September 2011 revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR 1,454.1 mln, arise of 14.4% compared with the EUR 1,271.0 mln recorded in the corresponding period of 2010.
