Cyprus is to auction up to 20 mln euros worth of 10 year bonds domestically on August 22, offering a 6.50% coupon, the finance ministry said on Thursday.
Authorities last offered debt of this type of maturity to the domestic market in 2007. Yields on Cypriot debt traded in secondary markets has soared in recent months due to the island's exposure to Greece and delays in fiscal reforms.
The yield on a 10-year government bond issued to international investors in February 2010 was bid at 10.98% on Thursday, versus around 6.20% in early May.
