Cyprus environment not affected from Japan’s radioactive discharges

There are no effects in the environment of Cyprus from the radioactive discharges leaking from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi Plant stated the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs on Wednesday.

According to an official announcement there are agricultural, milk and water products affected and there are higher than usual radionuclides in the atmosphere of the area near the plant, adding however that the government of Japan is taking all necessary measures to prevent these from being used for consumption.
