More German tourists expected this summer in Cyprus

Tourist trends from Germany to Cyprus are estimated to be upwards in the coming summer season, compared to a year before, an official announcement says.

This emerged during a meeting today between the Minister of Commerce, Tourism and Industry Antonis Paschalides, a CTO delegation and major German tour operators, on the margins of the ITB tourism fair in Berlin.

According to the announcement, Paschalides also spoke to German journalists during a press conference, briefing them on the efforts of the Cyprus government to upgrade tourism infrastructure in Cyprus.

It is added that the Minister is accompanied by CTO officials and representatives of tour operators from Cyprus. Paschalides will conclude his contacts in Berlin tomorrow and return to Cyprus, the announcement adds.
