Cyprus trade deficit widens by 366 mln in Jan-Oct

Cyprus' trade deficit was 4.26 bln euros in January-October 2010 compared to 3.89 bln in the corresponding period of 2009, an increase of 366 mln euros, according to figures released by the Statistical Service CyStat.
Total imports/arrivals amounted to 5.19 bln euros compared to 4.70 bln in January-October 2009.
Total exports reached 927.5 mln euros compared to 811.9 mln in January-October 2009.
According to CyStat, during October 2010, total imports/arrivals were valued at 524 mln euros, while total exports amounted to 106 mln euros.
Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were 43.5 mln euros, whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were 62.5 mln.
