More trips abroad by Cyprus residents in September

The trips abroad of residents of Cyprus recorded an increase of 8.8% in September 2010 compared to the corresponding month of 2009, according to a press release issued on Tuesday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, 112,355 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in September 2010 compared to 103,286 in the corresponding month of 2009.

In September 2010, there was an increase of 5,5% on the trips of residents to Greece (from 32.936 in September 2009 to 34.745 in September 2010) and 13,0% increase from the United Kingdom (from 25.647 to 28.969 this year).
