Cyprus industrial turnover rises 5.6% y/y in May

Industrial turnover grew fairly strongly in May, as the Industrial Turnover Index rose by 5.6% compared with May 2009.
However, the manufacturing turnover the index for May 2010 was the same level as in May 2009, meaning that growth must have come from one or more of the other subsectors (mining and electricity, gas and water, and mining).
For the period January-May 2010, the index recorded an increase of 2.7% compared with the same period of the previous year.
