Gregoris Xenofontos, the fourth suspect in the murder case of Andis Hadjicostis, managing director of the Dias media group, was extradited to Cyprus late Wednesday evening from Moldova where he fled after the murder in January.
A remand order is expected to be issued when Xenophontos appears before court on Thursday. He was arrested in Moldova on June 15 on an international warrant.
The Nicosia Assize Court will resume hearing the murder case on September 9 and 10.
Additionally, the court decided that on August 25 it will reschedule the hearing process, now that the suspect has been extradited.
Three other persons have been accused of the murder: Andreas Gregoriou, Anastasios Krasopoulis and his sister Elena Krasopouli Skordelli are facing charges of premeditated murder. All three deny any involvement.
Andis Handjicostis, managing director of the Dias media group that includes Sigma TV, Simerini newspaper and several radio stations, was shot dead on January 11, outside his house as he was getting out of his car.
