Cyprus tourism revenue up 4.2% in April

Tourism revenue rose in April despite the 23% fall that was probably related to volcanic ash disruption.
On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached EUR 164.8 mln in May 2010, a rise of 4.2% compared with the EUR 158.1 mln recorded in May 2009.
For the period January – May 2010 revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR 383.0 mln, a rise of 1.9% compared with the EUR 390.4 mln in the corresponding period of 2009.
