Cyprus June inflation up at 1.9%

Consumer price inflation rose in June to 1.9% compared with 1.6% in May 2010 and 0.2% in June 2009.
Compared with the previous month, prices rose by 0.20%.
The Statistical Service said that this was mainly owing to increase in the prices of petroleum products. electricity and air fares.
A fall was recorded in the prices of certain fresh fruit.
For the period January-June 2010 the CPI recorded an increase of 2.3% compared with the corresponding period of 2009.
