Cyprus industrial turnover leaps 19.9% in March

Industrial turnover leapt in March after well over a year of decline, according to the latest figures from the Statistical Service.
The industrial turnover index reached 133.7 (base 2005=100), recording an increase of 19.9% compared to March 2009, after a fall of 5% in February and 4.9% in January.
The manufacturing turnover index rose by 16.9% in the same period.
For the period January-March 2010, the industrial turnover index recorded an increase of 3.4 % compared to the same period of the previous year.
For the whole of 2009, industrial turnover fell by 11%.
