Trade deficit in Cyprus for the period from January to March 2010 was 1,244.8 million euros, with total imports/arrivals amounting to 1,509.3 million euros, and total exports/dispatches to 264.5 million euros.

According to data released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus, total imports/arrivals, covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states, in January-March 2010 amounted to 1,509.3 million euros, compared to 1,386.5 million euros in January-March 2009.

Total exports/dispatches, covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states, in January-March 2010 were 264.5 million euros, compared to 224.6 million euros in January-March 2009.

The trade deficit was 1,244.8 million euros in January-March 2010, compared to 1,162.0 million euros in the corresponding period of 2009.

During March 2010, total imports/arrivals, covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states, valued at 583.9 million euros.

Total exports/dispatches, covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states, including stores and provisions, in March 2010 amounted to 108.8 million euros.

Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were 63.6 million euros, whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were 45.2 million euros.
