The Greek ‘Secret Diet’ franchise of freshly cooked and packed healthy meals have arrived in Cyprus, with the master franchise operator providing the service in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca.
Demetris Sarris, Managing Director of Ni. De. Diet Ltd., said that once business picks up as it has done in Greece, they will introduce new services, such as nutritional meals for pregnant women, antioxidant meals for the aged and special meals for athletes to increase their muscle mass.
Sarris said that his company is operating the services in Nicosia and Larnaca and has a franchise agreement with a partner in Limassol.
All meals are prepared in collaboration with the organic food store Etherio and delivered to the customers in a single package between 10am and 3pm, that will include an energy bar for breakfast and pre-lunch toast snack, the lunch with salad and dessert that can be heated in the oven or a microwave, an afternoon snack or fruit and an evening meal.
The nutritional value of a whole day’s pack is about 1200 calories and should help the average customer lose about 4-6 kilos in a month, depending on the varying dietic needs of each individual that is prescribed by a licensed dietician at their offices in each town. Meal schedules are available in advance and the customer may change the menu according to taste or other requirements.
Sarris said that the ‘Secret Diet’ costs about 380 to 420 euros a month for six daily packages, except on Sunday when the customer is expected to abide by the dietician’s recommendations.
The company also has an agreement with the Etherio stores in all towns for the supply of the Italian bottled mineral water ‘Lauretana’, available in six-packs of 1.5 litres and considered to be “the lightest water in Europe.”
