Cypriot Baghdatis advances to Dubai Tennis Championships semi-finals

Cypriot tennis player Marcos Baghdatis has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Dubai Tennis Championships, after beating Germany’s Michael Berrer with 2-0 (7-6 6-1).

On Friday at 5 o’ clock in the afternoon (3 pm GMT), Baghdatis, number 37 in world tennis rankings, will face Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, number 2 in the world, who qualified over Croatia’s Ivan Ljubicic with 2-1 (2-6 6-4 6-0).
