Cyprus wholesale trade turnover down 15.3% in Jan-Sep

The turnover value index of wholesale trade excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles in Cyprus decreased by 15.3% in January-September 2009 when compared with the corresponding period of 2008.
In September, the index rose by 17.9% over the previous month.
Meanwhile, the turnover value index of wholesale and retail trade including repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles in January-September 2009 fell by 25.2% compared with the corresponding period of 2008.
In September alone, the index rose by 41.6% compared with August, where activity was disrupted owing to the summer holidays.
