Cyprus Civil Registry and Migration Department will remain closed during transfer

The Civil Registry and Migration Department will remain closed until December 31 due to the transfer to the buildings of the Old Nicosia Hospital.
According to an official press release, “urgent occasions only such as the issue of entry permits for housemaids for old persons or for persons with serious health problems, the issue of passports in cases of loss, or the issue of Certificate of Registration to a European Citizen with a serious medical problem, will be processed at the Central Offices of the Department”.
For the urgent occasions, the public can call the numbers 22409325 and 22804400.
It is also noted that ''the district offices of the Police Immigration Units in all other districts continue operating normally as regards the duties relating to the Department”.
The public is kindly requested to refrain from calling for other matters in order to allow the processing of the urgent cases, the announcement concludes.
