Options Cassoulides Plc (OPT) recorded a loss attributable to the Company’s shareholders amounting to EUR527.700 compared to a profit of EUR295.000 in the corresponding 2008 period.
Total revenue fell by 54% to EUR14 mln mainly because the Group’s conference division saw revenue decline to EUR6.7mln from EUR16 mln in 9M08, as well as lower revenue from the publishing division and weaker revenue from the printing division. Decreased revenue from the conference division is partially the result of the undertaking of the “World Anaesthesiologists Congress” contacted during 9M08 and takes place once every four years. Decreased revenue from the publishing division is mainly attributed to the disposal of stake of the share that the Company held in “N.D.D Special Publications Ltd”.
