Cyprus business sentiment improves in November

The Cyprus Business climate in November 2009 improved to plus 3.0 units month-on-month, according to the Business and Consumer Survey conducted by the Economic Research Centre of the University of Cyprus in cooperation with the European Committee. The increase in the Business climate index resulted from the improvement in almost all sectors. In specific, the services sector (which bears the highest weight in the index) improved from -19 in October to -14, the manufacturing sector from -20 to -12 and the construction sector from -54 to -43. Consumer sentiment was weaker (from -34 to -38 in November).
