Cyprus wholesale turnover down 14.1% Jan-June

The Cyprus turnover value index of wholesale trade excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles for June 2009 increased by 6.4 % to 128.6 compared with 120.9 in May 2009.
However, for the period January-June 2009, the index recorded a decrease of 14.1% compared with the corresponding period of 2008.
Meanwhile, the turnover value index of both wholesale and retail trade as well as repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles in June 2009 increased by 0.7% to 101.1 in June, compared with 100.4 in May 2009.
For the period January-June 2009 this index recorded a decrease of 22.3% compared with the corresponding period of 2008.
