Cyprus construction materials prices fall in July

The price index of construction materials for July 2009 reached 117.10 (base year 2005=100.00) recording a decrease of 0.09% over the previous month.
For the period January – July 2009, the index recorded a decrease of 2.49% over the corresponding period of the previous year.
In the same period prices of minerals rose by 4.1% and prices of mineral products rose by 3.9%.
Prices of products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics rose by 3.1% while prices of metallic products fell by 14.6%.
Prices of electromechanical products fell by 2.8%.
