Cyprus Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Antonis Paschalides and Libyan Minister of Petroleum Shokri Ghanem hold a meeting here today and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Cyprus and Libya, especially in the fields of energy and investments.

Ghanem invited Paschalides to visit Libya, in order to continue, as he said, their fruitful discussions.

Cyprus Minister of Commerce stated that during the meeting the great prospects of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, commerce and investments have been confirmed.

Paschalides also said that they discussed the possibility of establishing direct flights from Cyprus to Libya. Finally, he expressed hope to visit Libya soon.

After the meeting with Cyprus Minister, Ghanem was received by President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias at the Presidential Palace.
