Cyprus and Egypt sign bilateral agreements

Cyprus and Egypt signed bilateral agreements after delegations of the two countries wrapped up their official consultations.

The agreements were signed at the Egyptian Prime Minister’s office, in the presence of Cyprus President Demetris Christofias and the Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif.

The first agreement signed by Cyprus Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister Antonis Paschalides and the Egyptian Minister for International Cooperation Fayza Abou El Naga provides for an executive programme between Cyprus Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism.

The second agreement between Cyprus Interior Minister and Egypt’s Ministry of Local Development in the field of local authority was signed by Cyprus Finance Minister Charilaos Stavrakis and the Egyptian Minister for International Cooperation Fayza Abou El Naga.

A Memorandum of Cooperation between Cyprus’ State Archives and the State Archives of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) Costakis Constantinou and Middle East News Agency (MENA) Editor-in-Chief Abdullah Hassan signed a cooperation agreement between CNA and MENA.
