The important role of information technology in the operation of schools today is the subject of an educational conference, co-organized by the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) and the Independent Union of Nursery and Elementary School Teachers, AKIDA.
The conference, “Contemporary educational administration and technology: how information and communication technologies contribute to the organization and administration of a school unit”, will take place on Saturday, March 14, from 9.30am to 1pm at the CIIM in Aglantzia, next to the KEMA building.
The Minister of Education and Culture, Dr Andreas Demetriou, will open the conference, the proceedings of which will be co-ordinated by Dr Nikos Orphanides, member of the Cyprus Educational Commission.
The conference will have a strongly interactive character, to enable participants to discuss and receive answers to their questions. The aim is to inform participants about the practical application of information and communication technologies in the organisation and administration of modern schools and to help them become acquainted with the school management system introduced by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Participation is 10 euros and participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
