The leaders of the two communities in Cyprus, President of the Republic Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, will hold their 20th meeting today in the framework of UN-led direct negotiations.

The two leaders will continue the discussion they have begun on the property issue.

The meeting will take place at the UN protected area of the old, now defunct, Nicosia airport.

The leaders' last meeting took place February 12th. Their next meeting was scheduled to take place 19th of February but had to be postponed due to the death of Elsi Christofias’ father.

President Christofias and the Turkish Cypriot leader are meeting in the framework of the UN-led direct negotiations, which began last September with a view to reaching a solution of the Cyprus problem which will reunite the country, divided since the Turkish invasion of 1974.
