Cyprus performers charm Budapest audience

The Budapest Symphony Orchestra MAV, under the direction of Cypriot conductor Notis Georgiou and with the participation of Cypriot soloists Nikolas Konstantinou and Manolis Neophytou, has given a concert with great success, at the Italian Culture Institute of Budapest, according to the organisers.

The concert was under the auspices of the embassy of Cyprus in Budapest with the sponsorship of the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus in the context of events for the «Cypriot Performers Festival».

Representatives of the diplomatic, academic, artistic and journalistic world of Hungary, as well as members of the Greek and Cypriot community in Hungary attended last week’s event.

As mentioned in an official statement, the concert was an excellent opportunity to promote Cypriot culture and the artists were warmly received.
