Cyprus wholesale turnover up 18.4% in 2008

The turnover value index of wholesale trade and commission trade increased by 36.5 or 22.5% to 198.6 in September 2008 compared with 162.1 in August 2008.
For the period January-September 2008, the wholesale trade and commission trade index recorded an increase of 18.4% compared with the corresponding period of 2007.
The turnover value index of sale and repair of motor vehicles and retail sale of automotive fuel, increased by 29.5 or 17.9% to 194.4 in September, compared with 164.9 in August.
For the period January-September 2008 the index recorded an increase of 8.1% compared with the corresponding period of 2007.
